Amanda Nagai

Collaborator - Food Logistics

Amanda (she/her) practices dance as physical, emotional, and spiritual medicine. She holds space for dance medicine experiences, and formerly ran Midweek Ecstatic Dance SF, a group ecstatic dance journey in San Francisco, CA. She is a budding herbalist, under the tutelage of Abi Huff, ayo ngozi, and Myrna Cabán Lezcano of the Ancestral Apothecary school and her Chinese Medicine team. Amanda practices silent meditation retreats yearly, is a trained yoga teacher, does journey work, and has experience with T-group and other forms of authentic relating. Her exploration and study of holistic diets, medicine, and relating was born out of several serious illnesses and losing her mother at a young age. She is grateful for all she has been able to explore and share with others.

By day, she helps to run an organization (Jubilee Justice) that seeks to help Black and other BIPOC farmers finance, market, and adopt practices that provide them with financial and environmental stability and thriving. Jubilee Justice also runs conversation programs focused on the intersection of Land, Race, Money, and Spirit - convening multi-racial, -generational, and -class groups on a former plantation in the US South.
